Lucy Omono Agbons (founder)
Lucy Omono Agbons is the President and Founder of The Giving Treehouse Toronto, a dedicated organization committed to community support and empowerment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW), and is preparing to advance her education by pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Lucy has a diverse professional background. She previously worked as a Sales Administrator in a printing press in the United Arab Emirates, where she excelled in her role, demonstrating exceptional organizational and administrative skills. She also serves as the Secretary of the Scarborough Family Support Program, a non-profit organization in Toronto, and is the CEO and Founder of Lucy’s African Stores, which brings African products to local communities.
Lucy is a goal-driven individual who believes with the power of determination and effort, anything is achievable. Her passion for helping people and making a difference in her community drives her work. With her strong foundation in Political Science and a commitment to public service, Lucy aspires to enter politics to better understand the needs of the people and work toward impactful, meaningful solutions.
Ifeoma Ifeanyi Irogbarachi (Corporate Secretary)
Ifeoma has over 11 years of Human Resource, Operations and Administration experience in Nigeria with an academic background in Psychology and Human Resources Management in Nigeria and Canada respectively. As a seasoned professional, she serves as the organizations’ Secretary bringing her wealth of expertise in Handling administrative duties and ensuring the organization’s governance runs smoothly.
She has worked in various roles within Consulting, Food Beverage Manufacturing and Engineering sectors in Nigeria where her expertise was valuable in developing and reinforcing employee engagement initiatives, creating systems, policies and structures for both start-up and existing organizations within the Public and Private sectors.
Passionate about working with Teenagers, she is a Certified Teenage Mentor who teaches and counsels’ teenagers on owning and working in Purpose and Identity.
Outside of her role as Secretary, Ifeoma is passionate about serving her community as she volunteers and regularly supports Fitness for Mental Health a non-for-profit organization who works in collaboration with Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) to change the lives of people living with mental illness through fitness.
Ifeoluwa Omoyajowo (Manager - Program & Services)
Ifeoluwa believes that every individual deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Her journey has been Shaped by a deep dedication to service and a desire to help those in need. Ifeoluwa brings a unique blend of skills and compassion to her work as Manager of Programs and Services at The Giving Treehouse, as well as substantial expertise in a variety of industries. She has previously worked as an Accounts Receivable Officer for American Express and as a Customer Service Officer for iQor Canada.These roles honed her financial acumen, problem-solving abilities, and people-centered approach. Seeking to make a more direct impact on lives, She pursued a certificate in Project Management, enhancing her ability to lead and implement programs effectively These positions enhanced her financial knowledge, problem-solving skills, and people-oriented attitude. To make a more direct impact on people’s lives, she pursued a diploma in project management, enhancing her ability to lead and implement programs effectively. Driven by a desire to give back to her community, Ifeoluwa returned to school to study Social Work. This decision led her to roles where she could make a difference, including serving as a Case Manager at Craiglee Nursing Home and working as an Educational Assistant with the Toronto Catholic School Board, supporting students with diverse needs.
Now, at The Giving Treehouse, She is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for teenage moms, autistic children, single mothers, and new immigrants. She believes in the power of community and the transformative impact of compassionate support.
As the Manager of Programs and Services, She is dedicated to developing initiatives that address the unique challenges our clients face, providing them with the resources, guidance, and care they need to build brighter futures. Together, we can make a difference—one life, one family, one community at a time.
MOROLASHAYO MARTHY NWACHUKWU (Manager - People & Culture)
About Me:
Hello! I’m Morolashayo Marthy Nwachukwu, a dedicated professional with a passion for community empowerment and sustainable development. With a diverse educational background and hands-on experience in both business administration and cooperative management, I am deeply committed to creating positive social impact through collaboration, innovation, and a focus on community needs.
Work History:
I bring a diverse range of work experience to my role in the nonprofit sector. For over six years, I ran an entrepreneurial business focused on fabric purchasing in Nigeria, where I gained valuable skills in business management, procurement, and customer relations. This experience strengthened my ability to manage resources, collaborate with suppliers, and meet the needs of my clients.
In the healthcare field, I worked as a care assistant in various homes across the United States, where I provided compassionate support to elderly and disabled individuals. This role taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and personalized care. Additionally, I served as a Clinical Assistant at St. Michael’s Hospital in Canada through an agency, where I assisted in patient care and helped streamline clinical operations. These roles have equipped me with a deep understanding of both business and healthcare, which I bring to my work in supporting communities through nonprofit initiatives. Currently, I am honored to serve as [Manager – People & Culture] at The Giving Treehouse Toronto, where I focus on serving the needs and uplifting lives of diverse communities. My role allows me to leverage my diverse skills to foster collaboration, create sustainable solutions, and advocate for those who need it most.

My educational journey has equipped me with a diverse set of skills and knowledge that I apply to my work in the Non-profit sector. I hold a National Diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Science in Cooperative Management from the National Open University of Nigeria. Additionally, I completed a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business from Durham Pathway, Canada, which enhanced my understanding of local business development. I also earned a Degree in Personal Support Worker from NACC – CLI College of Business, Health & Technology, Canada, which deepened my commitment to providing care and support to vulnerable populations. Currently, I am pursuing a Diploma in Social Service Worker from George Brown College, Canada, to further strengthen my ability to serve communities and individuals in need. This diverse educational background supports my dedication to creating lasting social impact through community-centered work.

Omoyemwen Sophia Omoregie (Treasurer)
My career is a rich tapestry of experiences across various fields. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, I have built a solid foundation that supports my multifaceted professional journey. My teaching career includes significant time spent as a teaching assistant for special needs children in the UK, where I developed a deep understanding of inclusive education. Additionally, my role as an account officer has equipped me with strong financial acumen.
Currently, I thrive as a Project Management Professional, leveraging my organizational and strategic skills. Beyond my professional achievements, I am deeply passionate about giving back to the community. As a board member and treasurer of the Giving Tree House Toronto, I am dedicated to making a positive impact. In my role as treasurer, I effectively use my financial expertise to support and enhance the organization’s mission, helping to improve lives and strengthen the community.
